Accommodation
We have spent the past few years renovating an old family home and farm into two charming and comfortable apartments for a relaxing stay surrounded by nature. Wake up to the sound of birds chirping and enjoy the serene views of the Slovenian countryside from your window. Each apartment sleeps between 1 and 6 people. Breakfast is included in the booking price, and we also offer full or half-board packages. If you prefer to camp, our gardens are perfect for tents, and we can even accommodate a camper van or two under the vine or the mature sour cherry tree.
Nature Walks - and Wine
Prekmurje is a nature lover's paradise. Explore undulating wine hills, follow meandering rivers to clear, still lakes, stride out through open fields and breathe in the rich scent of the forests. The local flora and fauna here are tremendous: as white storks fly overhead, watch out for dam-building beavers in the many streams, stone and beech martens scurrying along woodland trails, and roe deer gently lapping from fishing ponds tucked away in secret glades. Red and purple poppies, deep-blue flag irises and rare marsh lilies carpet miles of wildflower meadows. At night, vast dark skies glitter with constellations, and even the Aurora Borealis has lit up the firmament on occasion. If all this wasn't enough to entice you here, the nearby vineyards of Lendavske Gorice, Dolgovaške Gorice, Čentiba, and the Jeruzalem hills to the south are perfect for a day (or more) tasting fantastic local wines and sampling gastronomic delights, and we are happy to take you there to ensure you enjoy everything to the fullest.
Birdwatching
With almost 400 bird species recorded in Slovenia, our region in the northeast is a birdwatcher's dream destination. Grab your binoculars and head out to spot resident birds such as Black Redstarts, Siskins, Goldfinches, Yellowhammers; Crested, Sky and Meadow Larks; Kestrels, Black Kites and Buzzards; Tawny, Barn and Little Owls; Green, Black, Great Spotted and Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers; and summer migratory species like Nightingales, Great Grey Shrikes, Wrynecks, Spotted and Collared Flycatchers, Hoopoes, Golden Orioles, Common Cranes, Bee Eaters, and of course the elegant and noble White Storks that make the Prekmurje landscape their summer breeding destination.
